About Salt Plate City

Salt Plate City About Us

“There are bigger food-focused Instagram accounts in Utah, but Salt Plate City’s creators, Lala Phunkhang and Ryan Roggensack, want to keep the focus on food — great local restaurants to visit, dishes you’ve got to try, etc. — rather than just getting more followers.”

Deseret News, January 20th, 2019

Welcome! We are Salt Plate City and we are actively seeking to visit all of the best restaurants in Salt Lake City. We are aggressively local and love to support our favorite SLC restaurants, bars, foodie festivals, concert venues, record stores, boutiques, farmer’s markets, and everything in between.

Since June of 2017, we have been sharing our top spots on Instagram through our account @SaltPlateCity. Follow along on the fun!
