“A spoon cannot taste of the food it carries. Likewise, a foolish man cannot understand the wise man’s wisdom even if he associates with a sage.”

-His Holiness, The 14th Dalai Lama

Tashi delek! The Tibetan food in Salt Lake City is blessed by the presence of an amazing and active Tibetan community that is keeping the rich culture of Tibet alive and well, right here in the Valley. You should know that 1/2 of Salt Plate City is 100% Tibetan, so we can speak with a lot of authority on this subject. The other half of Salt Plate City is very white, but he can’t get enough Tibetan momos and spicy potatoes. Honestly, our Best Tibetan and Nepali food in Salt Lake City list may have been the easiest list for us to put together as we frequent these restaurants… frequently.

If you are interested in reading more about the Utah Tibetan Community and of the Tibetan people living in Salt Lake City, please visit their website.

And as always: FREE TIBET!
