I once heard Murray called “The Independent Republic of Murray” and I believe it to be the best description of this great little city smack dab in the middle of the Valley with quite an independent streak. The Salt Lake Valley generally has a lack of neighborhoods with real unique vibes and culture the farther South you go, but Murray stands out with great parks, school districts, restaurants, bars, theaters, and a probably the best section of State Street. Yes, even the Best Murray Restaurants have that Independent Republic feel too.

Luckily you don’t need a passport to enjoy these restaurants in Murray. With its central location, you can get there in less than 15 minutes from almost anywhere in the Valley, and the trip is always worth it.
